The Action School of Real Estate, Inc., has been accredited by the Missouri Real Estate Commission to conduct courses of education in real estate subjects to qualify applicants for licensure examination.
The following steps are necessary to obtain a sales license in Missouri:

Action School of Real Estate, Inc. is designed to offer you the best quality of instructions available in the area. LaVern Kohl, the School Administrator, accreditation's include: B.S. in Business; Master's and Specialist's degrees in Business. In the field of real estate, LaVern has completed the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) course and the Certified Real Estate Brokerage manager's (CRB) course. He was a former Associate Professor in the School of Business at MSU and is a licensed Broker. Day Classes (in classroom) You will find our classes interesting as well as informative. Classes are normally small enough so that sufficient time is available for you to receive personal attention and individual help with problem areas. If you should fail the course, you may attend free of charge for up to six months and every effort will be made to ensure that you pass. you must pas an exam given at the school prior to receiving your certificate to take the state exam. Students must attend 100% of the required class or meet conditions under 4CSR 250-6.040. If you are unable to attend all classes we recommend that you enroll in our correspondence class and attend as many of the day classes as possible. For the in-class program, we recommend that you enroll two weeks prior to the date of the class you desire to attend. At that time, we will provide you with one text boo, state law booklet, and a course outline and the application for the test. The books may be picked up at the school or we can mail them to you for an additional $6.50. The deposit for the class materials and reservation for the class is a non-refundable $75.00 fee. The remainder of the fee is due on the first day of class. If you should withdraw from a course already in progress, we will, upon written request, refund 90% of the unearned full days tuition per student contract or, in lieu thereof, of timely written application, allow you to complete the uncompleted portion of the course within six months. Correspondence students will forfeit the $75.00 deposit and if one or no class has been attended, up to 50% of fee paid. We use the same text for both sales' and brokers' courses. The Missouri Real Estate Commission (MREC) states that broker applicants must have one year active experience as a salesperson or must complete an accredited 48-hour course before taking the broker examination. Correspondence Courses In addition to classroom courses, we offer "Hard Copy" correspondence courses for both salespeople and brokers. Correspondence courses give you the flexibility to study at your own pace, when you can fit it into your schedule. The correspondence courses are $575.00, paid at the time of enrollment, and include several conditions: - Submit a letter to the school requesting a correspondence class and give reason for desiring a correspondence class
- Distance from Real Estate school over 50 miles.
- Work will not allow class attendance
- Family/Primary Care Giver
- Student must complete a time sheet reflecting actual hours of study required to complete the course.
- Sign an affadavit to the accuracy of time on the time sheet.
- Attend two, (three hour) proctored sessions. The first session covers discussing problem areas, questions students may have and quizzes. The second consists of taking the mandatory examination. These sessions are generally scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays.
To enroll in the correspondence course, fill out our application and remit payment to 452 W. Battlefield Road, Springfield, MO 65807. Upon receipt of full payment, we will send you a self study correspondence packet containing all necessary materials and instructions on how to successfully complete the course, pass the state examination and apply for the license. you can enroll over the phone using a credit card; there is an additional fee of $6.50 for mailing the material. Online Action School of Real Estate is also certified by ARELLO and the MREC to provide online pre-license sales classes.
